We will have workshops all day Saturday in two locations: The Educational Workshop Tent and on the Hayshed Stage in the barn. Here's the breakdown:

Family Sing Along With the Farmer & Adele

Gather round the campfire and sing along to the western classics with the Farmer & Adele!    

3pm-4pm John Hartford Tribute featuring Matt Combs, Greg Reisch, and Katie Harford Hogue

Join fiddler Matt Combs, music historian Greg Reisch, and Katie Harford Hogue, John Hartford's daughter, as they discuss the legacy and music of John Hartford. With performances. Pick up a copy of the new book, "John Hartford’s Mammoth Collection of Fiddle Tunes" in the merchandise tent today!

Multi-level Inclusive Jam with Gretchen Priest of the Fiddle & Pick
Saturday 12noon-1pm Workshop Tent
Gretchen Priest leads an inclusive multi-level traditional music jam, including old-time tunes, early traditional songs & bluegrass.
Bring an instrument. Whether this is your first jam or many before; She will help you learn how to join in on the fun! Singers welcome!

Beginning Western Swing with Keenan Wade and Grace Adele
Saturday 1pm-2pm Workshop Tent
Introduction to swing guitar/mandolin rhythm and how both instruments can interact together in the jazz genre.   We will be taking familiar songs from the bluegrass and country genre and slightly jazz them up.  All you need is a few new chords to get you going and swinging!  Grace Adele on Archtop Guitar and Keenan Wade on mandolin.

“Brothers Duets” with Peter Rowan & Chris Henry
Saturday 2pm-3pm Workshop Tent
Experience the rich heritage of the Brothers Duets, a style of harmony singing popularized in the 1930s, usually two sibling brothers accompanied by two guitars or guitar and mandolin. Hear as Peter Rowan and Chris Henry masterfully recreate the haunting harmonies of this classic style.

Flatpicking Guitar with Lester Sears
Saturday 3pm-4pm Workshop Tent
Learn how to flatpick with talented Nashville guitarist Lester Ray Sears.
