The Cowpokes are an authentic Country & Western two-step dance band that primarily performs songs from the 1940s-1960s, and they are the house band of the ever-vibrant Honky Tonk Tuesday Nights at the American Legion Post 82 in Inglewood, TN. The band features fiddler and Country crooner Kevin Martin who delivers captivating Honky Tonk ballads, shuffles, and upbeat favorites while fiddling in the classic hillbilly style, as well as Mark Thornton on electric guitar, Ryan Keith on piano, Brendan Malone on electric bass, John McTigue on drums, and Andy Gibson on pedal steel guitar to round out an invigorating six-piece band. The boys’ reverence for the music of the golden era of Country music is paramount, and it is visibly evident in their classic western performance outfits which are as electrifying as their live shows themselves. The Cowpokes are the undisputed best-dressed Honky Tonk band in Nashville! Audiences young and old respond to The Cowpokes’ throwback playing style and their fans enjoy hearing them play timeless hits by Ray Price, Mel Tillis, Webb Pierce, Wynn Stewart, Red Foley, Bob Wills, Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, and Bill Monroe, as well as original songs written by members of the band. With beginnings in 2016, the band has swiftly made a name for themselves in Middle Tennessee as a bone fide Country ensemble. In the Spring of 2017, they had the opportunity to open for the legendary Jerry Jeff Walker and Country Music Hall of Fame Member Bobby Bare at Nashville’s historic Grand Ole Opry House.
