Three Years of Music & Fun for the Whole Family!
Well, folks, three years of Hoedown on the Harpeth are now in the books! Our mission has always been to celebrate and preserve the roots of Classic Country music along with the wonderful town we call home, Nashville, TN, Music City, USA. We wish to create a unique experience in the Nashville area that combines the sounds of Classic Country music – from bluegrass and old-time to honky-tonk, outlaw country and western swing to rockabilly – with family-friendly fun, all on a beautiful location just outside Nashville proper. We have done so for the past three years and we look forward to doing it again soon.
We want to sincerely and humbly thank all our loyal fans and supporters, volunteers, musicians and staff for helping us create the best outdoor music festival in Music City: we did it for you and we couldn’t have done it without you.
Unfortunately, despite our growth, costs still outweigh the returns and the festival has yet to break even financially. My dear friends, we’re just plum out of money! With that being said, we will be taking off 2019. We feel that we’ve got a good pot of country music chili on the stove and we want to let it simmer for just a bit. We hope to return soon with more great fun and music cooked up for all to enjoy!
We’ll be using our time researching sponsorship opportunities and planning ways to improve the Hoedown experience for you, our fans, as well as for our volunteers, staff and musicians. We are still here, so drop us a line if you have any ideas, donations, or sponsorship opportunities for HOTH.
